What you can convert

  • Excel to CSV. If the workbook has several sheets, pick the one you want to export. Numbers come out unformatted and dates in ISO format (2026-01-15).
  • CSV to Excel. It detects whether the file uses commas, semicolons or tabs, and whether it is UTF-8 or the older Windows encoding, so accented characters come out right.
  • CSV or Excel to JSON. It produces a list of objects, one per row, ready to use in an API or a script.
  • Parquet to CSV, and back. Open Parquet files without installing anything and turn them into a format any program can open, or compress a large CSV into Parquet.

Your file is never uploaded

The conversion runs inside your browser using DuckDB and SheetJS. Your data is not sent to any server, not even ours. We only count page visits, anonymously, to know whether the tool is useful.

Opening the CSV in Excel

Choose “UTF-8 for Excel”: it adds the marker Excel needs to show accented characters correctly and uses semicolons as the delimiter and a decimal comma, which is what Excel expects in Spanish or Catalan locales. For very old versions of Excel, choose Windows-1252.

Limits

An Excel sheet holds at most 1,048,576 rows; if your file has more, convert it to CSV or Parquet. Files of several hundred MB work, but it depends on your computer's memory.
